Postprocedure
Instructions
The best way to recovery after surgery or minor procedures is to be ready with all the information needed. While we go through these things during your visit, we recommend using this page as a quick reference guide for at home.
For all surgical treatments:
Keep breast or abdominal binder clean and dry.
If your incisions are covered with medical glue (Dermabond) it is okay to wet the affected area after 48 hours. Please replace bra or binder until you are seen in office with all padding in place. Compressive garments are important to assist with prevention of fluid accumulations as well as to obtain the best shape and contour.
For liposuction treatments: We recommend massage of affected areas one week after surgery. Replace compressive binders after massage.
No heavy lifting or exercise for 4-8 weeks after any major surgery.

CO2 Laser Treatment Instructions:
Post Treatment Skin Cleaning Process – Use a diluted vinegar solution (1 tsp vinegar with a cup of water) and gauze pads to gently cleanse the skin 4 times a day beginning the night of, or morning after your CO2 procedure. Do not scrub or pick off the dead skin, allow it to exfoliate as part of the natural healing process. Reapply fresh emollient cream. Combine hydrocortisone and Aquaphor for the first 48 hours after treatment. This cleaning process should be repeated for 5 to 10 days.
