Xeomin
Wrinkle Smoothing Injections
Xeomin has been approved for use in the United States for many years. It is another brand name product similar to Botox and Dysport which is commonly used to smooth wrinkles.
Xeomin has been purified and simplified to maximize its results. Because it is free of accessory proteins that can sometimes inhibit the effectiveness of other comparable products it is thought to benefit those who are considered resistant to products such as Botox.
Xeomin works very much like Botox to target muscles that cause wrinkles through frequent muscle contractions. Temporarily slowing down or “paralyzing” these muscles can reduce the appearance of wrinkles, which usually become less visible with repeat treatments.
The duration and onset of action is similar to other products.
Differences
While there are minor differences between Botox Cosmetic, Dysport and Xeomin, each product produces similar results.
During your consultation we will explain the benefits of this product and determine if it will suit you goals.
Xeomin cannot treat every type of wrinkle, so sometimes we may also recommend that you complement your treatment with an injectable filler such as JUVÉDERM® or Restylane®. Xeomin is used for dynamic or motion related lines. Deep ingrained wrinkles are often treated with other procedures in conjunction.
