PRP can be used to naturally enhance volume as well as to restore skin.
What Is PRP?
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a substance that’s thought to promote healing when injected.
Plasma is a component of your blood that contains special “factors,” or proteins, that help your blood to clot. It also contains proteins that support cell growth. PRP is produced by isolating plasma from blood and concentrating it.
The idea is that injecting PRP into damaged tissues will stimulate your body to grow new, healthy cells and promote healing. Because the tissue growth factors are more concentrated in the prepared growth injections, it is thought that this can regenerate tissue faster. Collagen production is thought to improve along with skin rejuvenation.
This treatment has been used in other medical applications for years and has emerged as a great cosmetic treatment as well.
A series of 4-5 treatments are recommended for maximal benefit. This procedure may assist with tone, texture, and can tighten loose skin through collagen induction.
Treatments average approximately 90 minutes and are well tolerated with local numbing creams. This is a phenomenal treatment for those looking to rejuvenate your face, neck, chest, and even hands.

Plasma is the liquid portion of whole blood. It is composed largely of water and proteins, and it provides a medium for red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets to circulate through the body. Platelets, also called thrombocytes, are blood cells that cause blood clots and other necessary growth healing functions.
Platelet activation plays a key role in the body's natural healing process. Thus, PRP is thought to use this cascade to improve skin rejuvenation as well as by acting as a collagen stimulator.
What is the recovery time for PRP injections?
When PRP is injected it will produce benefits with minimal downtime.
Results of PRP can be seen gradually after several sessions. Most people can continue their daily activities following PRP injections.
Because PRP injections are intended to promote healing or growth, you may not notice an immediate difference after receiving the injections.
