How Does Botox Work?

Botox is a neuromodulator (form of botulinum toxin type A) that is injected into targeted treatment areas using an ultra-fine needle. It works by blocking the nerve signals needed for facial muscles to contract. It’s the repetitious contraction of facial muscles that causes expression lines and wrinkles. Once injected, the neuromodulator relaxes the muscles and decreases their movement to reduce the appearance of lines or wrinkles in the area. You will see your results gradually over 7-10 days following injection.

Easy And Effective Treatment

No one is immune to wrinkles. Just squinting in the bright sunlight or concentrating at a board meeting can create facial lines over time.

This type of wrinkle, which is created by muscle movement, is called a “dynamic wrinkle” and BOTOX Cosmetic is designed to target the cause.

It is not a dermal filler Injectable gel; instead, BOTOX Cosmetic temporarily paralyzes the facial muscles that contribute to wrinkles every time they contract. Within a few days of treatment, targeted wrinkles begin to fade leaving skin looking smoother and more youthful.

Our skilled plastic surgeon, Dr. Priti Patel, has restored a youthful look to the faces of many women and men with BOTOX Cosmetic treatments.

These quick, simple injections can effectively improve your facial wrinkles while maintaining your ability to make natural facial expressions, an essential part of what keeps you looking like you.

Our goal is to keep you looking as natural as possible but more refreshed!
